Alternatively, take a moderate hike up to The Devil's Bit or the Galtee's where you will be seduced with a breathtaking view across the rich agricultural land known as the Golden Vale.  Finally, no trip to Thurles would be complete without visiting Thurles Cathedral with its magnificent colourful interior and peaceful ambiance.

Visit the attractive and elegant town of Cahir situated on the River Suir developed around the magnificent 13th Century Cahir Castle, Two kilometers from the town is the Swiss Cottage, a delightful 19th-century cottage orné, designed by Regency architect John Nash.
