The Monks Pub

A traditional Irish Pub located on Mitchel Street, Thurles, dates back to the 1860's and has been in the O’ Gorman family for three generations.  It features musicians who are seriously passionate about Irish music and that create an atmosphere like no other.  If you are looking for the ultimate in a real Irish traditional pub experience, then a visit to “The Monks,” is essential.  You can expect to drink a quality pint, combined with renowned music, singing and story telling, particularly on a Wednesday night.

Jim O' The Mills

Hidden deep in the rolling farmland of Upperchurch, the Ryan family, led by Jim, open their home just one night of the week (Thursday) and conjure that impossible mix of music, beer, location and a most incredible welcome. You'll find music, yarn spinning, singing and dancing one night per week in one of Ireland's most unique pubs.

The Source Arts Centre

The Source Arts Centre in Thurles, has a 250 seat theatre, visual art gallery, community studio space and café/bar. Set in the heart of Thurles town and on the banks of the River Suir, the arts centre has a year round programme of cultural events including theatre, live music, comedy, dance, art-house cinema, children’s theatre, youth arts and ballet.

Brú Ború Cultural Centre

The Brú Ború Cultural Centre, located at the foot of the historic Rock of Cashel, is an affiliate of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Irish cultural movement which has over 400 branches worldwide. Brú Ború has an impressive theatre and craft shop, 'Sounds of History' cultural exhibition South Tipperary genealogy suite, 

Summer stage shows of traditional music, song and dance run for two nights each week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) from mid July right up until the end of August commencing at 8:30p.m. each night.
